Here's two really funny scenes from volume 5 of Zombie- Loan. It's a really funny series, I highly suggest it to anyone who wants a good read and a good laugh.
In this scene the two main male characters say what they'd make the other do if they lost a bet. Of course they're both jokes about the other's hair styles.
Shito's the one in all black. He's the calm, collected character in the series, though he does have a short fuse when it comes to certain things. Chika, the guy with the white hair and shirt, is the outgoing, loud, raring-to-fight- character. The joke with him is that his hair looks like a nest.
I made this using Adobe Illustrator in about 20 minutes. Kept it in black and white to keep it related to the manga.
Zombie-Loan is made by Peach-Pit and Published by Yen Press and volume 6 has just been/will soon be released here in America.
Most series from japan make fun of hair styles so it's not just this series. The antennae joke is pretty common, though I'll admit that this is the first time I heard the bird's nest joke.
I understand that a lot of people see these two as being gay but it's kinda like the fangirls that pair Seto Kaiba and Joey Wheeler from Yu-Gi-Oh together just 'cause they claim how much they hate each other all the time.
Besides there's way more shipping material for the two with girl character's in the series than with each other. ('Course I've read farther than the english release.)
Chika maybe, but not Shito. I have too. They may both be sraight, but they sure have their share of gay moments...such as the part where Chika tells Shito he belongs to him...that's not exactly a "just friends" kinda thing.
Yeah there's a lot of moments for Chika and there's a lot of feelings other characters have towards Shito but Shito's pretty emotionally dry given his upbringing.
And yeah there's lots of gay-ish moments, it's a shojo series. They're all thinner than possible, very pretty, and are paired with everyone. It's like Fruits Basket only with Zombie instead of a hugging curse.
Yeah. I think Peach-Pit is just making everyone have moments for everyone. MichiruxYomi, ChikaxMichiru, ShitoxMichiru, ShitoxChika, KoyomixShito, MichiruxSotetsu...yeah.
Hahaha, yeah they are always on bets, anyways Chika that looks more 'emotionally' already told a lot of time, ''I am doing this for money!'' hahaha, even when Shito was in danger and he went for a rescue only after knowing the bonus

Fruits Basket characters are wimpier, though.
